Election Judges: We have three new election judges! Jess Myhre (Chief Judge), Emily Gilcher, and me (Kristy Ogamba). Please be patient with us as we work hard to facilitate this year’s election.

Key Dates:

Monday, April 7th (2PM – 7PM): Voter Registration at the Old Town Hall

Tuesday, April 8: Please submit your questions or topics for the candidate forum by 4PM to ElectionJudges@brentwoodmd.gov.

Wednesday, April 9th (6:30PM – 8:30PM): Online Candidate Forum via Zoom (Details below)

Monday, April 14th (2PM – 9PM): Voter Registration at the Old Town Hall

Monday, April 14th: Last Day to Register to Vote AND Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot

Monday, April 28th: Mailed-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date (7 days before election)

Friday, May 2nd: Final day to submit absentee ballots in person (at the new town hall)

Monday, May 5th (7AM – 8PM): Brentwood Municipal Election

Voter Registration:

We are holding two voter registration days on (April 7th and 14th). You can also stop by the new townhall during normal operating hours to register. Please bring a photo ID and proof of residency. Voter registration requirements can be found in the town charter (Section 506).

Please note that if you registered to vote in Maryland using your Brentwood address, you are automatically registered to vote in Brentwood. However, if you’re not sure, please do stop by the new townhall to confirm.

The LAST DAY to register to vote is April 14th. Under no circumstances can we register anyone after that date.

Virtual Candidate Forum

The Virtual Candidate forum will be held on Wednesday, April 9th on ZOOM. Please note that due to the transition between town halls, we are not able to host in this in person.

Absentee Ballot Request

Please drop by the new Town Hall or reach out ElectionJudges@brentwoodmd.gov to request an absentee ballot. Anyone can request one. Requests must be made by April 14th. They must be mailed in by April 28th or submitted in person at the new Town Hall during normal operating hours by May 2nd. Any absentee ballot received after this date will not be counted.

Votación en Ausencia

Town of Brentwood Recycle Bin Distribution:

Beginning Today The Town of Brentwood will be distributing new recycling bins by dropping them off and picking up old ones through Public Works.

 Residents are asked to leave out their old bins for collection. Public Works will drop off the new blue bins and pick up the old green bins. 

The distribution is expected to be completed by the next scheduled recycling pick up date on Friday, April 4, 2025.

Distribución de Contenedores de Reciclaje de la Ciudad de Brentwood:

A partir de hoy El Pueblo de Brentwood estará distribuyendo nuevos contenedores de reciclaje dejándolos y recogiendo los viejos a través del Departamento de Obras Públicas.

A los residentes se les pide que dejen sus viejos contenedores para su recogida. El Departamento de Obras Públicas entregará los nuevos contenedores azules y recogerá los contenedores verdes viejos. 

Se espera que la distribución se complete para la próxima fecha programada de recogida de reciclaje, el viernes 4 de abril de 2025.

Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC)

Dear Residents,

Would you like to have more of a voice? Are there issues that you think need to be addressed by the Town? Do you just want to be more involved in an advisory or advocacy component? Well, time to join the Citizens Advisory Committee!

The purpose of the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) is to provide essential citizen input to the Town Council and Administration as a recognized component of the decision-making process. The CAC is a direct way for the Town to be more accountable and responsive to residents and taxpayers. At times, the Mayor and Council may actively seek advice on a topic, and at other times the CAC would drive the agenda.

The CAC has a minimum of 5 members is expected to perform in a positive and collaborative manner to gather information and formulate opinions, advice, non-binding recommendations and suggestions on governmental affairs and services affecting the Town of Brentwood and its citizens. These may include matters of public safety, public works or any other issue to help foster a sense of community and work towards effective and efficient community relations. The CAC acts only in an advisory capacity to the Town Council and Administration.

The first meeting will be at 9 am on April 5th at the Town Hall. Please come and have you voice heard.

El propósito del Comité de Asesoría Ciudadana (CAC) es proporcionar información esencial al Consejo Municipal y a la Administración como un componente reconocido del proceso de toma de decisiones. El CAC es una manera directa para que la ciudad sea más responsable y sensible a los residentes y contribuyentes. En ocasiones, la Alcaldesa y el Consejo pueden buscar activamente asesoramiento sobre un tema, y en otras ocasiones el CAC dirigirá la agenda.

El CAC tiene un mínimo de 5 miembros y se espera que actúe de forma positiva y colaborativa para recabar información y formular opiniones, consejos, recomendaciones no obligatorias y propuestas sobre asuntos y servicios gubernamentales que afecten a la ciudad de Brentwood y a sus ciudadanos. Estos pueden incluir asuntos de seguridad pública, obras públicas o cualquier otro asunto que contribuya a fomentar el sentido de comunidad y a trabajar en pro de unas relaciones comunitarias eficaces y eficientes. El CAC actúa únicamente en calidad de asesor del Ayuntamiento y de la Administración.

La primera reunión tendrá lugar el 5 de abril a las 9 de la mañana en el Ayuntamiento. Por favor, venga y haga oír su voz.

Our new location is at the Old Fire station, now serving as our Town Office and Police Administration Offices. 

Our office hours are from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday.
